Position Summary: Perform all tasks involved in the production of Air International’s products. This includes HVAC systems, Power Train Cooling Systems (CRFM or PTC’s) and Transmission Oil Coolers (TOC’s). Follow standard work methods and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. Duties and responsibilities 1. Reads work instructions, operator manuals and perform work as assigned by process leads. 2. Assembles the materials to produce sub-assemblies or finished product from components. 3. Operates minor power equipment to fasten screws or bolts to product. 4. Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages. 5. Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes. 6. Track production on schedule boards. 7. Notify team leader of any mechanical or material issues. 8. Maintain a clean and safe work area. 9. Operators must be available to work weekends / overtime as the Customer needs dictate. 10. Performs other related duties and assignments as required. All production workers are expected to be available to work in all areas of production. Experience, Skills & Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and talk or hear. Must be capable of lifting 30lbs frequently. Quality Standards: Must be able to understand quality standards, methods and reporting as required. To understand and complete labor or time sheets accurately. Safety: To maintain proper housekeeping and safety standards Proper use of safety devices, such as lock-out, as required Safe operation of all machinery, tools and equipment Equipment and Machinery used: Assembly stations designed for our CRFM, HVAC or TOC product.
