We are currently seeking a reliable, experienced Child Caregiver to join our center. Must be flexible to work on-call and split shifts, as hours will vary PART-TIME up to 15 hrs. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY In this role, you will see to the children's basic needs, along with providing an enriched learning, safe, and fun environment for our little ones. To succeed in this position, you must be fun-loving with kids, be patient, enthusiastic, and energetic with a passion for child development and care. FOR MORE INFORMATION & HOW TO APPLY / PAY CALL Child Caregiver Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: • Provide responsible care for children • Treat children of all ages with care, compassion & respect • Uphold all safety standards set by the state of Texas • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly classroom • Maintain a professional attitude, respecting family privacy at all times • Provide enriching educational activities • Lead song and learning exercises • Provide structure and accountability in a compassionate fashion • Help children with toileting/diaper changes as needed • Design and implement educational, age-appropriate activities • Encourage children to participate in all activities • Interact with parents as needed to address challenges • Provide opportunities for children to learn and develop age-appropriate skills • Facility janitorial duties as needed Child Caregiver Requirements and Qualifications • High school diploma or GED required • Current CPR and First Aid certifications required • Minimum 6 months experience working in a professional childcare setting • Exceptional patience and ability to remain calm at all times • Excellent listening skills and an engaging demeanor • Solid working knowledge of childhood development • Creativity, compassion, and professionalism are a must • Fun and enthusiastic attitude • Willing to sing, dance, and "be silly" with the children • Physically able to perform tasks, including sitting on the floor, bending, kneeling, stooping and standing • Must be able to lift children weighing up to 30 lbs regularly • Must be able to pass a criminal background check • Must obtain food handlers card and flu vaccination within 30 days of hire. • Ability to speak both English & Spanish • Have reliable transportation • Must be flexible to work on-call and split shifts, as hours will vary
