ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Inspect storm water systems (storm water catch basins, manholes, control structures, vaults, pipelines, storm lines, culverts, under drains, dredge ditches, outfalls, ponds, creeks and stream beds, Bioswales, sediment traps, diversion structures, advance storm filters) for proper function and integrity
• Install new storm water structures
• Maintain a functioning drainage system by use of manual and mechanical means to clear debris from storm structures such as Type 1 and 2 catch basins, ponds, bioswales, detention and retention systems, vaults, oil/water separators and Eco filters.
• Install new storm structures, and repair or replace existing storm structures, control structures, pipes, curbs, pavement, sidewalks and landscaping
This position may be assigned to any duties detailed in the Maintenance technician classification description (link above). This includes performing maintenance technician work in streets, storm water, parks, waste water, and water.
