I'm moving to Ft. Collins at the end of the month, and I am wanting to start a band! I've spent my whole life playing in other people's bands, so I've decided to take this move as an opportunity to start my own project(s). What's the music scene like (pre-covid) down there? Are there lots of places to play for local acts? Is there a metal or punk scene? DIY venues? A little about me... I'm 30. I play drums, bass, giutar, and I just got into synthesis. I grew up on classic rock and punk, but i love all genres. Especially anything experimental or fringe. Whether it's kraut rock, atmospheric black metal, grindcore.... I'm even down to team up with some synth enthusiasts to start an ambient/noise project. Or even a psilocybin influenced psychedelic fuzz rock outfit. Let's have a session and see what pops out! Also, I don't drink, and I try to avoid being around alcohol. I'm cool if you need two or three beers to get through practice or a show, but i cannot be around party drinking or alcohol abuse... I am 420LGBTQIA friendly. I have mostly professional gear, but no place to play atm. I'm crashing with my fam until i can find a job/place to rent.
