Babcock Genetics is looking for a multi-talented individual capable of performing the combined duties of swine herdsperson, maintenance and groundskeeper. Purpose of Position: While performing the duties of herdsman the candidate will perform duties including providing care to all ages of swine, from piglets to adult sows and boars, ensuring optimum living arrangements and productivity. While performing the duties for the maintenance position the candidate will perform general farm maintenance including welding, electrical, minor plumbing, maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment. While performing the duties of groundskeeper the candidate will perform routine grounds keeping duties including but not limited to mowing and some snow removal, and other routine duties when required. Ideal Candidate Qualifications: Have a strong interest and desire to work with swine Welding experience preferred but not necessary Willingness to learn High level of dependability Detail oriented Desire to improve on a daily basis Ability to interpret and follow directions Ability to read, write, and speak English Work well with others Position Type: Flexible part-time hours with possibility to move to full-time Rotating weekend hours required Starting Hourly Wage: $20.00 per hour Education: High school diploma or equivalency desired How to Apply: Contact Mark at (608) 526-3302 ext 302
