Plant Nursery Worker - Hillsboro, OR We are interviewing now and hiring starting two weeks. 15 positions available. Seasonal position with potential to work past spring/summer season. We are seeking Nursery Workers to join our team! You will be working on the conveyor belt line and/or working in the greenhouse taking care of the vegetable/bedding plants along with other duties. Responsibilities: * Feeding the conveyor belt with the trays for soil and plants to be added to * May need to hand transplant plants into the soil * Tagging plants with UPC tags * Checking on the quality of the plants and if they are planted in the soil properly * Taking tray's of plants and loading trailers with them * Lay plant trays in the greenhouse * Cleaning plants by removing dead foliage * Pinching and weeding plants * Replacing plants in the trays as needed * Pull plants for stock in the salesroom * Spacing plants for the best growth rate * Collecting used trays to get ready for new crops * Watering plants * Counting inventory of plants ​ Qualifications: * Availability to work some overtime and weekends * Heavy physical work, must be able to do the heavy lifting * Must be able to withstand a lot of standing, kneeling, and bending over * Demonstrate the ability to learn and maintain productivity expectations * Ability to match and identify plant materials (Will train plant tag types) * Ability to use basic math skills (adding and subtracting) * Must be team-oriented and communicate well with peers * Good hand and eye coordination **PLEASE APPLY TO BE CONSIDERED** Job Type: Full-time seasonal from end of February 2021 to June 2021 Salary: $13.25 to $14.00 depending on experience Work experience: - Shipping: 6 months preferred but not necessary.
