Jamaica Cottage Shop needs more drivers to add to our growing fleet. Full-time, year-round, full benefits packages. Drivers transport wooden buildings, in both kit form and/or fully assembled, to the client following all safety and regulatory practices as well as those outlined with the DOT. Building Pre-Cut Kits are large palleted packages that weigh several thousands of lbs. Fully Assembled buildings are completely built and must be maneuvered carefully to the installation site, unloaded, blocked, and leveled in the safest way possible so as not to cause any harm, injury, or damage to the equipment, the product, or the client’s property. Paid training includes working alongside another driver. Check out videos at the bottom of the page at this link Candidates should have a valid CDL-A or CDL-B license. Those with a CDL-B license must be willing to work towards their CDL-A license. Clean driving and safety record and be able to pass a background test. Must be experienced in driving Wide Loads. Ability to sit for long periods of time while maintaining focus. Ability to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs without issue or physical repercussion concerns. Multi-task with quick shifts in direction and solid communication and organization skills with little to no supervision. Must have knowledge and understanding of all DOT regulations and safety protocols.
