Mission/Job Scope: The Seasonal Packaging Associate is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the packaging line. The Packaging Associate will be required to perform various functions including setting up the line, stacking, labeling, wrapping pallets, and checking the finished goods for weight and quality. The Packaging Associate is also responsible to keep the general production area clean and free of debris. Outcomes: · Equipment - Ensure all packaging equipment is working properly. Communicate with the lead or supervisor immediately if any equipment is in need of repair or maintenance. · Inventory - Assist in physical inventories. Ensure proper stock rotation. Accurately report scrap/overfill on daily production reports. · Safety/Sanitation/Security - Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area. Assist in maintaining the security of the distribution center. Perform or assist in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as required. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards. · Operations – Assist lead or supervisor in maintaining high fill rates, along with a safe and clean work environment. Essential Competencies: The Seasonal Packaging Associate must be able to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs. The ability to follow directions and work well with others is extremely important. Education – High school diploma is preferred.
