Carpentry Assistant

Looking for hard working individuals willing to learn. We will train you to be a carpenter in 6-12 months! Work is tough but rewarding. We work in a warehouse here in Macon and make wood and steel furniture from scrap. We will start you off removing nails out of reclaimed wood and will slowly train you to be a carpenter assistant and then to be a carpenter. No tool or construction experience needed! We just want a good attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work with your hands. Starting pay is 7.25/hr while we train you. Raises comes after you learn new skills and able to show you can do your job, it usually takes 4-6 months for your first raise and then raises every 6 months after that. Again, it is entirely based on how much you learn. Schedule is Monday-Thursday 8 AM - 6 PM with 2 breaks and 1 hour for lunch. Friday is occasionally worked for overtime. You get 40 hours of PTO each year and we also take 5 paid holidays off during the year. About us: Georgia Artisan is an exciting young Startup Furniture Manufacturer based in Macon, GA.
