Description

6 year old female Doberman looking for a home, currently in Massachusetts: I'm fostering a wonderful girl who is originally from out of the country. I was hoping she would be a good fit for my senior male dobie but no such luck. I'd be willing to transport to an approved home anywhere within New England. A little bit about sweet Mia: She is around 6 years old and has surgery to remove a few masses next week along with a teeth cleaning and a re check on her bloodwork. She has many scars to show the cruelty of her past. She was originally used for breeding and when she had mastitis, they decided to try and perform surgery on her with mild sedation and the resulting pictures are pretty horrifying of how she showed up at the rescue. Mia is working on her house training and we take her out every 2-3 hours. So far she hasn't had an accident. She pulls A LOT when walking on a leash but is a little better since we started using an easy walk harness, but still has a ways to go. Mia loves meeting new people and has no issues meeting strangers whether in the house or outside of the home. I don't think Mia would do well with small animals or cats, she loves to chase squirrels! But, I do think she would do well with a very playful and energetic canine pal. She might be a bit too much energy for another dog who just wants to relax. Mia is super snuggly! She definitely has the potential to have some separation anxiety issues because she really wants to be near you and is just starting to get used to being in a home versus outside. She just started learning how to play with toys and needs a new home that can provide her with the exercise and training that she really needs. If you think you might be a good fit for this sweetie, you can fill out an application here: https://forms.gle/DBUniEAeudWGPJYdA If you'd like to donate towards her care, I made an Amazon Wishlist for her (she deserves all of the spoiling that she can get! If anything is donated it'll go with her to her new home along with her bed, crate, raised dishes, and current items.) https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2KR5GMB456BVH... If you are able to share to any other Doberman groups or anywhere you like, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thanks!
