Success with second stage procedures such as socket preservation utilizing today's bone graft and resorbable membrane products Objectives: This course is intended for the general dentist who wishes to increase their knowledge and enhance their practice with predictable techniques for atraumatic extraction, ridge preservation with guided bone and soft tissue regeneration. By the end of this course doctors will be able to: - Apply concepts of surgical techniques for atraumatic extraction to create the ideal site for socket preservation. - Understand foundational armentatrium from extraction forceps, periotomes, surgical blades, and burs to facilitate the ease of preserving the alveolar socket - Understand the stages of wound healing to facilitate the clinical decision to utilize a bone graft material or not for socket preservation - Compare and contrast the various bone grafting materials available And understand the when, where, and how to utilize them - Understand the value and learn techniques to harvest autogenous bone to enhance ones clinical practice in an insurance driven competitive market. - Understand and be able to treatment plan alveolar ridge preservation based on the bony wall classification - Apply concepts of guided bone regeneration to choose appropriate bone graft material to create bone cocktails - Apply concepts of using intravenous antibiotics and proper dilutions - Appy concepts of guided tissue regeneration to choose appropriate membrane materials to facilitate proper bone generation for future implant placement - Introduction to the benefits and enhance surgical outcomes of utilizing venous blood to fabricate CGF products such as L-PRF for socket preservation Presenter: DR.
