Recently Myrka was given a letter of rejection from USCIS (United States Center for Immigration Services) when she applied to renew her employment card. Starting the process over will take more time than she can afford. It'll take another month for her to get the documents she needs to send back to USCIS and another 2-4 weeks for them to set her appointment. Best case scenario Myrka will receive her renewed employment card in 8 weeks. It's imperative that Myrka has funds to get her by in the meantime. As things stand, non-citizens are not eligible for unemployment and have not received any funds from Covid Relief. We will be confirming payment at window.
