Deeny Construction is looking for a shop/yard assistant. We are looking for someone who has interest in entering the construction industry. This is a good stepping stone into a high paying career in construction. An ideal candidate will be a motivated, self starter, who is willing to learn from an experienced crew. A person who can go from loading sheets of plywood, to painting road plates, to washing a truck in short time. A person who wants to learn from an upbeat, seasoned crew, with almost 60 years combined experience in the industry. Safety is paramount in the construction industry, and we take pride in our safe work environment, from Covid-19 to tripping hazards. Requirements: At least 21 years of age and proof of clean driving record. Pre-hire drug testing. Compensation is 19/hr DOE. Full medical, dental and vision. Matching 401k after vesting period. Deliver and pick up equipment and materials to/from jobsites. 2. Must be 21 years of age and have current driver’s license, and an acceptable motor vehicle record (MVR) per the company MVR policy. 3. Must be familiar with greater Seattle area streets. 4. Drive safely and courteously. 5. Shop and yard cleaning and organization, power washing equipment, Janitorial duties. 6. Maintain yard inventory at satisfactory levels. 7. Maintain fuel and crane truck’s inventory and keep trucks clean in and out. 8. Help shop personnel as time permits. 9. Treat company tools as if they were your own. 10. Know and practice company safety policies. 11. Attend weekly safety meetings (Toolbox Talks). 12. Always present yourself as a professional.
