WINDHAM, NH — A Derry man has died after a crash on Monday on Interstate 93 in Windham, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Around 8 a.m., troopers were sent with Windham firefighters and EMTs to a crash near Mile Marker 8.4 of I-93 on the southbound side of the highway. When they arrived, they found a 2018 Nissan NV2500 van had lost control, entered the center median, and then struck a guard rail, according to Lt. Bryan Trask of Troop B.
"The Nissan continued south for a short distance before coming to rest in the snowbank in the center median," Trask said.

The driver, Robert Day, 69, of Derry was taken to the Parkland Medical Center in Derry where he "ultimately succumbed to a medical condition," Trask said.
"Preliminary investigation indicates that the accident is a result of the operator suffering from a medical condition, however, all aspects remain under investigation," Trask said.
Anyone who may have witnessed it is asked to contact Trooper T. Repucci at [email protected] or 603-223-8836.
