Box turtle needs help

Hello.. My son rescued a box turtle from our pond yesterday. He said it was sideways, floating lifelessly and he thought it was actually dead. I put dirt in a shoebox for him but I'm not sure how to take care of it. I know they are supposed to be hibernating right now and for a box turtle to have been in the water in this cold is odd. Not sure what to do with it. I seen an ad few days ago of people that were taking in unwanted reptiles and thought maybe they could possibly help out. Can't find that ad anymore. I feel bad for the little guy. Let me know if you know anyone who can help. Thank you. God bless.
