Bluewater Hunter (blueh20.com) a locally owned and operated store is looking to hire a talented, energetic and enthusiastic individual. Bluewater Hunter is located in the Santa Barbara harbor and is a Padi dive shop. We provide freediver and scuba dive gear and classes to diving & ocean enthusiasts. We also offer boat charters on our Sea Dory power cat (TomCat) to clients taking them to all the Santa Barbara Channel Islands. Sales Responsibilities: Oversee the sales of scuba and freediving equipment. Assist and advise customers with choosing appropriate dive equipment, help fix and re-rig spearguns and dive gear. Help problem-solve concerns customers may have. Responsible for contributing to a positive and motivating work environment. Qualifications listed in order of importance: Self-Motivation Punctuality and time management Flexibility and adaptability Excellent customer service and communication skills Willing to learn new things Ability to deal with customers in a professional way Knowledge about the ocean Knowledge scuba diving and Spearfishing Any PADI scuba professional’s designation Preferred: Specialty instructor/MSDT status Divemasters Experience diving in SoCal waters Reliable access to transportation and willingness to drive to dive sites Responsibilities for Instructors/Divemasters: Instructors: Safely guide and teach divers of all ages and experience levels. Provide thorough education and diligent supervision above and below the water. Divemasters: Lead guided dives at a variety of local and Channel Islands sites and conduct refresher courses for certified divers, assist our instructors in dive site set-up, management, and supervision during weekend Open Water courses. Lead divers on charters to the Channel Islands. Why Bluewater Hunter?
