Employer is Green Toes GRP & Coatings Requirements: Must be 18 or older, The ability to lift 50lbs, Must be willing to work on/around ships, DBIDs eligible, Roles: General Labor Performs general manual labor tasks onboard U.S. Naval vessels to include loading, unloading, lifting, painting and moving materials. Assists in a variety of additional functions as needed. Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the function of the job. Works under immediate supervision. Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgement. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. Experience installing cable and cableway banding (a plus but not mandatory). Fire Watch experience (a plus but not mandatory). Must be able to work in high heat spaces, climb shipyard dry dock stairs/ladders, work in kneeling position for layout of cable runs under false decking, lift up to 50 pounds with 80% of work requiring carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 40 pounds for majority of shift while being in a standing, crouching, or walking position. Marine Painter Surface preparation, mixing of paint, application of coating, striping, and clean up. Position requires willingness to learn, and the ability to follow directions concerning painting in the marine industry. May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner. Marine Insulator Apply insulation to piping systems, machinery systems, bulkheads and overheads. Able to install, remove and repair molded insulation, which include - calcium silicate, tempmat and finishing cement. Ensure insulation is anchors properly with spotwelded pins, tie wires, metals band, screws and/or fasteners. Able to determine what type of insulation is to be used. Must be able to use measuring tools. Marine Decking Installer Position performs routine physical labor; moving materials, tools, and/or equipment; cleaning equipment, machinery, and work areas. Deck Installation Types; LONMAT, PRC, Non-Skid, Carpet, Tile, & Underlayment. May be required to perform additional duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor for the completion of the job in a safe and timely manner.
