BUFORD, GA — Fire crews in Gwinnett County on Monday morning responded to the scene of a fire that caused heavy damage to an apartment building in Buford. The fire was declared under control around 9:30 a.m., Gwinnett County Fire and Emergency Services said in a Tweet. The fire took place in the 2000 block of Windridge Drive. According to the Tweet, the fire burned through the building's roof and caused heavy damage to second floor apartments. No injuries were reported. Firefighters reported poor visibility on the 2nd floor of this fire.
