Linda’s Decors Celebrates 10th Anniversary and the View is Brighter Ahead Shop-At-Home Window Treatment Company Brings Out Homes’ Beautiful Stories Marlborough, Mass.—February 8, 2021—In 2011, Linda Woodard opened the window on her vision to launch her custom, shop-at-home window treatment company, Linda’s Decors. Today, she announced the business’s tenth anniversary, noting that the view is brighter than ever. Honored by Houzz® several times for Best of Houzz Service, Linda’s Decors brings its “traveling office” to homeowners from Cambridge, Dover and Needham to Winchester, Marlborough and Cape Cod—many of whom start as clients and have become friends. Linda believes this is due to the fun they share choosing window treatments together—considering factors such as privacy, light, proportion, type, color, design, and of course style. She helps her clients discover draperies, sheers, valances, blinds, shutters, and shades that express who they are. “Every home tells the story of its owners, and the windows bind those chapters together and make the words jump off the page,” she noted. “As a trained window treatment designer, I consider how we want friends and family to feel in every room. We’re creating a unique view, from the inside out and outside in.” Achieving that fit is the reason Linda travels to clients’ homes with all her samples and tools (masked and physically distanced during the pandemic). “Our clients’ homes become their dressing rooms; by trying on different shades and fabrics, they can see what looks best and explore new possibilities,” she said. As important are the technical nuances, according to Linda. She addresses them all—from window and wall dimensions to bracket sizes and projections—to ensure that everything can be installed without glitches, beautifully. “Linda has a ‘special eye’ for decorating where she is able to choose window treatments that are functional, fit with the room AND the rest of the house. She truly cares about her clients and will take the time to work with you to find that perfect fit,” said Mary O. from MetroWest Boston. Since COVID-19 began, more of Linda’s clients are changing up their homes, from their kitchens to their home offices, to enjoy the spaces where they are spending more time.
