Managing Partner Some days are super slow and you might not have to leave the office, other days are very busy and you’ll be out assisting the dog walkers. In-the-field dog walking will occur when demand surpasses the ability of our dog walking staff. This is a very independent job. You must be able to problem solve on your own with little outside intervention. The responsibilities include managing a high volume of scheduled visits and coordinating team member communication. This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, graceful under pressure, and amazing at managing people. Job Description: The Manager is responsible for handling a team of skilled team members. He/she primarily acts as a liaison between the Owner and team member to enhance the quality of services that are being provided. The Manager makes sure that the work is delegated properly to team members so that services are being rendered efficiently. Key Distribution- Responsible tagging, organizing, and distributing client's keys to the appropriate team members in a timely manner each day. Dispatching- The Manager must approve visit requests online and assign the appropriate team member to each visit. They must make sure that the work is delegated properly so that efficient services are being rendered to the clients. Scheduling- The Manager is in charge of scheduling team members according to the level of client demand. He/she must adjust the routes of team members daily whenever there is a surge or decline in client visits. Billing- Part of the job description is to insure that the customers are getting the correct and accurate invoice on a weekly bases. Meet & Greets- Coordinating with potential new customers to set up Meet & Greets with the owners and pets. Working with the owner- The Manager must have open communication with the owner. Having weekly/ bi-weekly meeting to discuss the direction of the company and to discuss the day to day operations. The positive and negative of the week, have his or her own ideas of the day to day operations to improve the flow. The owner is there to assist the Manger if he or she needs help. Working with Assistant Manager- The Manager is required to work with the Assistant manager on many levels. The Manager must have an open line of communication. Working together as a cohesive unit by directing tasks, assignments or walks Monitor/Supervise Team Members- The Manager must continually monitor all team members to ensure they are meeting company standards and communicate with team members to discuss any issues brought up by the client. Hiring & Training Team Members- The Manager is responsible for sifting through job applications and interviewing candidates. Two to three times a month the Manager will hold training sessions to introduce new team members to the WSDLA family. You will be managing a team of dog walkers and pet sitters that varies in size, from 12-15 people that will continue to grow as the company grows.
