We are a family owned and operated moving company located in Sylvania, Ohio. We service the local area as well as completing moves all over the country. We are an Elite Service Provider for HomeAdvisor, a top pro for Thumbtack, have an A+ rating with the BBB, and was voted one of the best moving companies in Toledo for 2020. We complete moves locally and all over the United States. Having moved customers to 43 states in the last 4 years has allowed us to build a tremendous reputation in the business. We are looking for an individual who has previous moving company experience that can come in and immediately take charge of a crew and complete entire moves from start to finish. Job Duties: Inspect the truck prior to driving Drive the box truck to any destination nationwide; doing so safely Interact with customers to ensure the job their needs are met and they are happy Be able to lead a crew by example to complete the job Take payments for jobs Use the company supplied cell phone and/or tablet to navigate to job sites, take payments, process paperwork, and book hotel rooms Load the box truck with the customers belongings and wrap and protect the items as needed to ensure nothing is damaged Move items in and out of the house into the truck without damaging the item or the house Job Requirements: Must have prior moving company experience Must have a valid driver’s license Must be able to do all job duties Must have a clean driving record in the last 3 years and pass a pre-employment insurance check Must be at least 30 years old (due to insurance costs) Must be able to go out of town to complete jobs for 3-5 days at a time Whoever we hire would start out at $16 an hour. The person will be given the opportunity to show his/her ability to do all required duties. If they prove they are able to; they will be paid $18 an hour with small per diem on overnight jobs. Once they prove themselves in a 3 month probationary period the person will get a raise to $20 an hour and an increase in their per diem on overnight jobs.
