This will include weekends (4 days/10 hr shifts)  Job Description The Lead will be responsible for providing daily direction and leadership to the team; scheduling; building department standards for performance; recommends and assists in implementing operating procedures and promotes continual improvement within the department and the company; resolves emergency issues for expedited deliveries to the customer; monitors order accuracy, productivity levels. Support and implement food safety, workplace safety and quality assurance. Coordinates warehouse activities under the direction of the Shipping Supervisor. Requirements: One year relevant experience Flexibility as hours, days are subject to change Ability to work in a refrigerated environment Backing up Supervisor - Covering office when needed Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of Management and other departments such as Sales, Purchasing, Transportation, Will-Call Customers and Cross Dock Vendors Must be able to operate warehouse equipment Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal and oral presentations skills Ability to perform well under pressure and short deadlines Must be able to frequently lift/push/pull up to 50lbs. Critical thinking, ability to use of logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
