Company: MYP Landscape Supply, LLC Job Location: Lake Elmo, MN Job Type: Seasonal Full-time or Part-time Industry: Landscaping Sales MYP Landscape Supply services landscape contractors and retail customers in the Metro Area. We have several openings for the upcoming 2021 season (March-November) for Landscape Yard Laborers. Individuals who gain these positions will be directly involved with day to day operations. It is a fast-paced environment where focus is placed on safety, clear communication and providing excellent, personalized service to our customers. Shifts include daytime, afternoon and weekend hours. We can work with your existing schedule! The pay rate is hourly and considers an applicants experience, skills and willingness to cross-train with sales/checkout tasks. Responsibilities: - Operate heavy equipment to load and unload materials. - Receive, inspect and document all materials received by suppliers. - Assist with monthly inventory count. - Maintain outdoor yard areas, ensuring materials are organized and properly labeled. - Calculate quotes, provide material options and answer general questions to service customers. - Assist Sales Associates with check out as needed. Minimum Qualifications: - Hard work ethic and the ability to adapt to new tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Own transportation to work. - Ability to effectively communicate with customers and other employees; follow written and oral instructions. - Basic math skills. Preferred Qualifications: - High school diploma, GED or higher education - Experience operating a loader, fork lift and skid steer. - One or more experience in sales and/or customer service. - Knowledge of landscape products and industry services. Physical Requirements: - Ability to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. occasionally. - Must be able to climb in and out of pick-up truck beds, trailers and operating equipment. - Able to work outdoors as this position is primarily performed outside. It involves exposure to seasonal changes and natural elements.
