Bent Creek Country Club is looking for a full-time, year-round, groundskeeper who will be part of our team responsible for maintaining our award-winning golf course and landscaping areas around the club. Candidates need to be able to operate large and small machinery, power tools, and hand tools. ******To be considered you must have at least three years of landscaping experience, preferably at a golf course. You must also email a resume to us and this experience MUST be on your resume. We are looking for an experienced person for this year-round position. This is not an entry level position.****** Work hours are typically Monday- Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm; Saturday and/or Sunday 6:00am-10:00am. Hours may vary depending on the weather, season, events, and projects. Week-end work is often required in season (April-Nov). MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Cutting the turf, leaf blowing, grass trimming, sand trap care, mulching, weeding, pruning, aerating tees and greens, changing course hole locations, tee marker placement, landscaping, regulating pond water, caring for the sod, maintaining amenities at each hole, planting, trimming, watering, and maintaining the cleanliness of the course and the shop. REQUIREMENTS: · A current, valid driver’s license. · Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. · No problems with standing and walking for 85% of an 8-hour shift. · Tolerant of weather conditions including heat, humidity, rain, and cold. · Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. · Punctual and able to maintain an excellent attendance record. · Willingness to work overtime when needed, including on weekends. · A strong work ethic and self-initiative. · Capable of performing under stress to meet deadlines.
