RE: Why the Keystone Pipeline needs to go.

Where ever you got your information from, you are not entirely correct. 1. Warren Buffet stands to lose a good deal of money if the pipeline is built. BNSF will continue to haul the oil that the pipeline would have carried. 2. Your ignorance of how a pipeline operates is on full display. Any construction relies heavily on workers and when done, the construction is done and the workers move on. You argue the obvious as if it is not supposed to happen. When the pipeline is completed, it would still need quite a few workers for maintenance and to monitor the pumping stations along the way. This will be more than 35 workers for an 1,800 mile pipeline. 3. As to profits, profit varies in any business as technology changes or changes distribution for starters. Rail and road delivery of the oil is more dangerous than a pipeline as history has shown. There is nothing wrong with rail transportation. It is one of the most efficient methods of transportation per man hour for bulk materials. However, the pipeline is more safe than rail or highway. Doesn't safety account for something? 4. Every business makes profits. You talk as if that is a bad thing. The market dictates the price. If the oil company can transport the product cheaper by pipeline, they will sell at a lower price. Apparently, you do not understand what "free market" means. People are not stupid, at least most, and they can see your multiple postings and the manner that you can manipulate a subject to your narrative.
