Description
Machine Operators are responsible for setting up and operating production equipment under minimal supervision in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
Major Responsibilities
Operating manual and/or numerically controlled complex production machinery and equipment
Fabricating specialty and custom component parts
Reading and interpreting job orders, diagrams, and/or blue prints to select, position, and secure machinery and materials
Loading, unloading, lifting, and moving materials and products utilizing lifting equipment when available
Inspecting products to insure conformance to quality, engineering, and customer requirements
Completing and maintaining all associated electronic processes and paperwork including but not limited to bar-coding, checklists, stamping, blue prints, shipping/receiving documents, accessory lists, and scanning of materials
Performing pre-shift preventative maintenance
Maintaining departmental housekeeping and 5S standards
GED or High School Diploma preferred
3 – 5 years of experience in manufacturing metal cutting, bending and forming machines
Ability to read and interpret blue prints
Advanced math and reading comprehension skills
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to read, speak, and understand English
In-depth knowledge of the product and fabrication
Ability to demonstrate safe and effective operation of all required equipment
Pay rate: $15/hr
First Shift: 5AM- 4:30pm; M-F Some Saturdays as needed
