Designer Shades is a local, well established Roman shade workroom. Seeking additional employees for Final product inspection and shipping. Successful applicants will have a eye for detail, be willing to work independently and as part of a team in an upbeat, clean fast paced environment. · Learn the difference between specific Designer Window Treatments, Inc. shade styles. · Inspect quality of stitching and overall shade appearance. · Measure, mark, pin and sew rings, operating a sewing machine to attach rings to the back of our custom product. · String or shroud/string all shades according to the operating mechanism style. · Cover mounting boards, based on specific shades and customer rules. · Apply all required safety labels and company or customer labels. · Mount shades and valances to mounting boards using an upholstery stapler. Learn and apply the correct lift system to the custom shade product. · Fabricate shipping boxes. Boxes must be strong, neat and presentable. Enter shipments in to the computer for carrier pick up. · Keep working area clean. Accurate measuring skills are required. Applicants must be able to read a ruler the the 1/8" and be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds. Excellent attendance is required. No experience necessary, company will train. First shift hours Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm. Full and Part time hours available. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: Starting at 11/hr. Contact via email to set up an interview.
