Our event marketing agency is hiring a local, Part-Time Market Manager in the Birmingham, Alabama area to represent a major cellular provider! This candidate will be part of a program that is giving back to the local community, especially to essential workers, as a response to the pandemic. The role will begin as an admin role managing inventory and the local storage unit, calling local small businesses/essential venues to coordinate product drop-offs, as well as working with client and sales rep teams to secure accounts. As we begin to secure accounts and events, then the role will transition to being an on-site manager as well. Weekly salary: -DOE (before taxes, W2 employee) -Part-time, up to 29 hours Program duration: -8 week program beginning February 10, 2021 Market: -Birmingham, AL (and any surrounding suburbs) Responsibilities: -Work alongside staff at local events while overseeing team and program schedule (1-2 events/week) -Responsible for managing brand ambassadors across the market, to include sourcing, training, and staffing/scheduling -Events include product drop-offs to essential workers with some storefront events to hand out gift cards/treats/winter accessories to the local community -Be responsible for set-up and breakdown at events -Admin responsibilities include securing new accounts to promote the campaign by calling community retailers; working with client and reps -Managing storage and assets -Approving and compiling event recaps, event photos and key event data into daily, weekly, and monthly reports Requirements: -Field management experience (1-year minimum) -Be local to Birmingham area -Be comfortable working on feet & outdoors throughout entire duration of shifts -Be willing to abide by CDC guidelines, including wearing a mask and gloves -Must have a reliable vehicle and clean driving record ****Our agency is abiding by all CDC guidelines, providing sanitation kits to each staffer as well conducting additional training on staff health & safety guidelines.
