A.J. Lawn Services is expanding its garden-specific crew and needs you to help keep our clients' gardens looking beautiful - whether you are an old hand or just starting out. The gardening crew is a small, personal group that works hard and has fun in residential and commercial gardens. Our work includes planting, pruning, deadheading, weeding, composting, mulching, and anything else that keeps plants and flowers looking their best. While a desire to learn and grow is required, no gardening experience is necessary to join us as a junior gardener - we will teach you how to maintain beautiful garden displays! The right candidate will be a hard worker and have a good sense of humor. They will be willing to learn as well as eager to share their own knowledge and ideas. As our garden-specific crews continue to grow, we are also adding a Senior Gardener with industry experience. Candidates should have at least two seasons of experience as a gardener in a professional setting, moderate-to-advanced understanding of common plants in Boulder County gardens, and a foundation in best practices for plant installation and care. The Senior Gardener will assist our junior gardeners with directing and coaching, including overseeing proper plant care technique such as planting, pruning, deadheading, and mulching. This role will also assist with overall layout and design choices, including plant selection. Most importantly, the Senior Gardener will be a primary cheerleader and motivator for the team, helping to maintain productivity and dedication to beautiful creations. We offer competitive compensation starting at $15 per hour. Senior Gardeners have a compensation starting at $17-$20 per hour, depending on experience. Part-time positions are available. We start training around March 1st and want to have our team set by then. We have two excellent gardeners who are returning this season as well to lead the team.
