The Underground Railroad was a network of people, African American as well as white, offering shelter and aid to escaped slaves from the South until the Civil War. This family-friendly walking tour will visit locations around downtown West Chester that played a part in these struggles toward freedom and equality. Admission fee is by donation--pay as you wish!
Tour covers approximately 1.5 miles and lasts one hour. Pending updates from the Chester County Health Department, masks will be required at all times and social distancing will be enforced. Tour is entirely outdoors; sidewalks and terrain may be uneven. Event is rain or shine; no refunds.
