Hey goof, even "emotionally uncomfortable" is a reason someone WON'T testify, not evidence they don't WANT to. Not one of your points addresses mine, WANTING to testify has nothing to do with your plethora of "emotional, legal or strategic considerations" as to why they WON'T or SHOULDN'T testify. Do you know the difference between WANTING something and DOING something? Or do you just like strawmen? Contrary to your convoluted logic, me not having a new Ferrari does NOT mean I don't WANT one, it means there are reasons why I won't or shouldn't buy one. Don't ask for "evidence" when you know damn well you can't provide any yourself, you can't possibly show that an innocent person who is accused of a crime does not want a chance to defend themselves. It's common sense, observations of human nature and even my own feelings that tell me people naturally want to defend themselves against false accusations. All you did is offer legal loopholes that throughout history, have allowed crimes to go unpunished, nothing close to evidence as to the will of innocent people. I sincerely hope that you're just not too bright, that your strawman argument was due to a lack of intelligence rather than a desperate attempt to defend the indefensible acts of tRump. You'd think that after McCarthyism, Bircherism (no, not Birtherism), the Tea Baggers, Trumpism, etc., the GQP would be sick of having to rid their party of these fringe, right wing, radicalized nut jobs, that they'd finally take a stand and unanimously vote to impeach tRump and vote to keep him from ever running for office again. Unbelievably, those who try (e.g. Cheney, Sasse, Romney, even McConnell) are attacked, labeled RINOS and even censured by the cannibals in their own party. If the only way you can get elected as a Republican means exuding demagoguery, placating racists, appeasing white supremacists/nationalists, kowtowing to religious bigots and licking the boots of cult leaders, maybe it's time to realize your party is morally bankrupt and you should either work to change it or switch to/start another party. P.S. Anyone who comes to an anonymous forum, feeling they need to state their education level, their income level, their age, their profession, offer up their resume, etc., obviously hasn't the slightest confidence in what they post. "history" in the prison system can mean from behind bars, as a janitor in a correctional facility or could be a lie altogether but it's irrelevant. If you can't make a cogent argument to defend your position, your pedigree certainly won't help, real or not. Those who feel they need to tell others that they're intelligent, knowledgeable, honest, an expert, etc., are not. If they were, there would be no need to point it out.
