Westlake family is looking for a Handyman with a wide variety of skills (including basic carpentry, painting, some basic general knowledge about household appliances, ability to fix household issues like loose handles/broken cabinets/etc) who is willing to be available approximately 20 hours per week on short notice. Family is looking for a Handyman with a "no job too small" attitude who can handle random tasks such as fixing things that break, assembling and moving furniture and other items that are ordered, taking trash and recycling and disposing at the dump when requested, checking and changing lightbulbs in a 5400 sq ft house, filling bird feeders, potting plants, boxing up and moving things to and from their various storage units and lots more random and small tasks. Handyman must have a pick up truck or trailer for moving items as necessary and while most tasks can be handled alone, there will be the occasional task that may require a second person, so candidate must be able to arrive with a helper when needed. To ensure the availability of the candidate on short notice, as well as to cover the random additional costs of things like mileage and occasional runs to the dump, the family will pay a guaranteed minimum of 25 hours per week at $40 per hour (equating to $1000 every week). Any week where Handyman works more than 20 hours, Handyman will be paid for each additional hour at $40/hr. Any hours that the Handyman is required to bring a helper (which should not be too often), the family will pay an additional $25/hr for the time that the helper is required. Candidate must have excellent communication skills, be responsive via text and read/write/speak English fluently. Looking for someone to start ASAP. Candidate must pass a background check as they will be allowed access to the family's multiple properties. Candidate must also be willing to sign a general NDA to protect the family's privacy.
