Kirtan combines music, dance, and mantra to open the heart in Bliss. Using the aid of music, mantra, and dance, Kirtan is known to effortlessly strike the balance between relaxation and concentration. An ancient form of Bhakti Yoga (yoga of devotion), Kirtan celebrates relationship with the Divine and thus is an expression of each individual's experience of the sacred. All instruments welcome! Please register to reserve your spot. Physical distancing will be observed. Please wear a mask and bring your own mat and props. Enter through Union + Co coworking space at 48 Front Street, 3rd floor studio. About Wholly Divine Wholly Divine offers weekly classes of vinyasa yoga, meditation, and devotional music and dance. Grounded in the ancient traditions of Yoga, classes blend physical exercise, pranayama (breath), and mindfulness along with mantra and democratic discussions around the mind, body, spirit connection. In support of satsaunga–spiritual companionship–Wholly Divine seeks to celebrate individual and universal expressions of the Divine and facilitate connections with neighboring worldviews and wellbeing practices. Each class is followed by an informal group share, an open opportunity for participants to share reflections, creative works, and personal practices. Instructors Wilder Nicholson, Yoga Alliance RYT 200hr. Wilder is a passionate yogi, community organizer, and farmer based in Dresden, Maine. With a focus on mindful movement, Wilder teaches a range of wellness classes that blend yoga, meditation, and discussion for a holistic practice. Asanas are built from the ground up and classes are readily accessible for all levels. Informed by Yoga, Buddhism, and Native American worldviews, Wilder enjoys studying and discussing understandings of the sacred for shared learning.
