The Institute of Texan Cultures is a landmark San Antonio Institution. UTSA has the responsibility of its mission and service to Texans Dr. Kimberly Andrews Espy is the Provost and Senior Vice President of Academic Affairs for The University of Texas at San Antonio. She oversees nine academic colleges and the School of Data Sciences, the academic support divisions, including Faculty Success, Academic Success, Academic Innovation, Graduate and Post-Doctoral Studies, Global Initiatives, Student Success, Strategic Enrollment, STudent Affairs, and the Libraries: the UTSA Art Collection and the Institute of Texan Cultures. In 2020, first year retention of full-time Roadrunners exceeded 80%. The number of undergraduate degrees has increased 25% during the period of 2018 to 2020. As part of the Classroom to Career intitiative students are gaining marketable skills through immersive experiential learning with health, industry, federal agency, military-affiliated, and public service partners. Diversity has increased in many areas of faculty and student measurement throughout the university.
