Freedman town tour of Dallas County. Guided by Dr. George Keaton, Jr. of Remembering Black Dallas Remembering Black Dallas will do a tour of Dallas in four different segments and days. Uptown Downtown, The Civil Rights Tour , The Freedman town tour, and the Far North Dallas White Rock tour . These tours will be done in a caravan fashion where you will follow the leader in the safety of your own car using your personal audio devices while listening to the tour guide remotely for directions and historical narrations as you drive through the city. We will have outdoor stops along the way to view various historical sites. Each tour will consist of an average of 3 hours in duration. Every participants will be require to follow the current mandated CDC COVID requirements when outside of your vehicle. All races and ethnic groups are welcomed and are encouraged to discover this unique heritage and culture in the Dallas County Freedman communities.
