HARLEM, NY — Two men posed as police officers to enter a Harlem apartment, where they tied up three people inside and made off with cash, jewelry and a car, according to the NYPD. Around 6:40 a.m. on Dec. 16, the two men showed up at an apartment building near Broadway and West 136th Street, where they gained entry to an apartment by pretending to be cops, police said. Once inside, one of the men flashed a gun, and the duo proceeded to tie up the three victims: a 24-year-old man, a 53-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, according to police. The suspects snatched the victims' jewelry, cell phones, clothing, about $400 in cash — and a 2008 BMW sedan belonging to the youngest victim, police said. Police released surveillance photos and videos on Friday showing the two suspects, but few other details were provided aside from the fact that they arrived in a dark-colored sedan. Police asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782). People can also submit tips online or on Twitter, @NYPDTips.
