Description

Merrimack, NH - A vehicle lost control in the southbound lane of the Everett Tpk Sunday afternoon around 330 pm. The original call was for a rollover accident, however, it appears the vehicle left the roadway hitting an embankment but landing on all four wheels. The vehicle had heavy front-end damage, and two occupants required transport to a local hospital. The injuries did not appear to be life-threatening. Merrimack Fire Rescue responded to the accident which was about 1 mile south of the Exit 12 on-ramp. NH State Police put out flares in an effort to keep traffic down to one lane. Traffic backed up for a few miles as the accident was cleared from the roadway. NH State Police and local police departments responded to over a hundred accidents in snowy conditions. NH DOT trucks were out plowing and treating the roads, but the snow-covered roads remained slippery. ©Jeffrey Hastings www.frameofmindphoto.com/news
