Caregiver/ household assistant wanted for awesome family Hello, We’re looking for a compassionate, kind and flexible person who can help a great family on various fronts. My sister is in treatment for breast cancer and we are hoping to find someone who can support her primarily, and her family and home as needed. She lives with her boyfriend and son (4), and his nanny in a wonderful house in the center of Ojai. I am her sister and just relocated to live nearby. Looking for someone who is caring and heath conscious, with a sense of humor, willing to be flexible and help out on various fronts: Primary role: 1 - Care and cancer support/ assistant My sister is resting on some days and working as a film producer on the days when she has energy. - Brew a cup of tea, fetch a blanket, put a plate of food together on the resting days. Be present and available for her on the days when she is in bed. Assistant work: - basic help with local errands, orders and returns Their housekeeper comes 2 x a week and a chef comes 2 x a week. Ancillary needs: 2- Food Can you make a pot of lentil soup? go to the grocery store/ farmers market, pick up a food order, make sure there is healthy food at the ready. Lunch is the main family meal. Please cook as needed and/ or get the food and plates out and help load the dishwasher. 2- Household organizing/ tidying My sis moved to a new house in July and is still in process of getting settled. When there is time, please help with picking up toys, organizing the house, co- ordinate handyman, furniture assembly, yard sale, give away 3 - Kid friendly Childcare is not your main responsibility, but you must like kids! There is an awesome hilarious 4 year old in residence. We may need you to drive him to school or an activity. We may need you to take him to the playground if school is on holiday. you should have a car and good driving record be covid conscious and as safe as possible live- in is possible for the right person, but not required pay is hourly, based on experience Part time (roughly between 11 to 4 ish, with some flexibility ) in Ojai CA.
