Underground Utilities Operator/Locater/Laborer

Operator and Locator will be responsible for operating/locating and maintaining Vermeer horizontal drills. Daily duties include: digging around obstacles, i.e. gas lines, water lines, and others as encountered.; Slope/Shore excavation walls.; Load/Unload various materials from delivery trucks; Perform daily general inspections of equipment each day before operating begins to ensure equipment is in safe operating condition; Will assist other workers in various labor-based tasks. CDL is a +. Laborer will be responsible for placing conduit and/or cables in trenches, splice conduit sections (install couplers) as directed, place anchors, pedestals, vaults, etc. Must be willing to Travel. All projects located in the State of IA. Possible out of state work around the winter months. Pay varies based on experience. 1099 wages.
