Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: •Completes work orders generated by residents •Make Ready / Turning apartments between resident occupancy •Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications •Maintaining property grounds •Preventative maintenance •Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members Knowledge, skills and experience required: - 2+ years’ experience in general maintenance - 6+ months experience in apartment maintenance - Dry walling experience including painting and carpentry - Basic knowledge of plumbing, sweeting copper pipe preferred - Basic knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches and light fixtures - Basic repair and/or diagnosis of appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers and garbage disposal - Knowledge of HVAC and/or boiler system knowledge required (where applicable) - Some knowledge of water heaters both electric and gas - Basic personal computer skills with Microsoft Office software applications for purpose of ordering supplies, managing work order system, inventory management and creating work/schedule plans - Some Maintenance training needed - Needs limited oversight on day to day activities by a Mentor, Maintenance Tech III or Maintenance Manager Great compensation and benefits: - Industry competitive compensation. - Amazing medical at $30/m (as of 01/2020) which is not just a skeleton plan but a great, comprehensive plan. - Dental and Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance - Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, 1st yr 80hrs, 2-4yrs 120hrs, 5+yrs 160/hrs - 20% off rent at any of our owned communities - 401k planning and pre-tax contributions with a matching component - Renewal Commissions shared monthly with maintenance - Paid additional training/school, Tuition reimbursement program - Yearly Anniversary Gifts - $70.00 per week when on call for emergencies on top of regular pay - Tool reimbursement program - Power tool battery exchange program - Winter boot reimbursement program - Discount programs at partnered companies such as Verizon, Expedia, Office Depot and more! “A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process.” Equal Employer Opportunity!
