rock drummer looking for jam buddies

I am a 30-year-old male who moved to Camarillo for a new job 8 months ago. I used to play with a group of friends back in Dallas, and I am looking to meet some rock/metal-lovers to jam with. We would play things like Metallica, System of a Down, Queen and all kinds of other stuff, and we also performed a handful of live shows. I am into a huge range of genres, but my absolute favorite things to cover would be 90’s stuff like System of a Down, Nine Inch Nails, Deftones, etc., or 80’s metal like Iron Maiden and Judas Priest. I’m also down to just jam/improvise, or write and record original material. Eventually I would like to do some small local shows, either covers or original stuff. I would consider myself an intermediate player (stuff like Metallica is no problem, but something like Meshuggah would be a stretch). I have a demanding job and so most of our playing would need to be on weekends, although I could probably do 1 or 2 sessions during the week. I don’t have a space to play, but hopefully there will be rental spaces available once the pandemic ends. Or maybe you have a space? Shoot me an email if interested. Alex
