LAWRENCEVILLE, GA — A Gwinnett County Detention Center inmate died this week after being found unconscious on Wednesday, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal Constitution. According to the report, the inmate, 40-year-old Jeremiah Wendt, was being held without bail on a probation violation and outstanding warrants. In a statement, the county sheriff's department told the publication Wendt was given medical care but "did not survive his injuries."
