DETROIT — A Wayne County man has been charged with several felonies in connection with a deadly crash Wednesday that killed a 12-year-old girl and injured her 45-year-old guardian, Wayne County Prosecutor Kym Worthy said Friday. Noah Damron, 20, of Taylor, is charged with reckless driving causing death, reckless driving causing serious impairment, operating while intoxicated causing death, operating while intoxicated causing serious injury, carrying a concealed weapon and four counts of felony firearm, prosecutors said. Damron was arraigned Friday afternoon in 23rd District Court and given a $2 million cash bond, prosecutors said. The crash happened around midnight Wednesday near the intersection of Telegraph and Northline roads in Taylor. Prosecutors said Damron was drunk and driving at a high speed when he struck an SUV with a 12-year-old girl and her legal guardians, a husband and wife. First responders took the child to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead, prosecutors said. Her female guardian had multiple serious injuries and was hospitalized, prosecutors said.
