SMITHTOWN, NY — If you have some medicine you don't use that's past its expiration date, an upcoming Smithtown event could be the cure for what ails you. "Operation Medicine Cabinet," a medicine disposal drive-thru, is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday in the back parking lot of the Town of Smithtown Horizons Center, located at 161 E. Main St., Smithtown. The drive is the result of a partnership between the Suffolk County Police Department's 4th Precinct, the Town of Smithtown Horizons Counseling and Education Center, and the Smithtown Youth Bureau.
