WORCESTER, MA — Open Google Maps and search for a bagel shop in Worcester, you'll get a half dozen Dunkin' locations, Panera Bread, the now-closed Anthem Bagel Co. and the venerable but crowded Bagel Time along Park Avenue.
Worcester could certainly use a few more bagel options, and Robin Clark is right on time.
Clark, a former chef at deadhorse hill, just held her first popup sale for her fledgling Doh Girl bagel bakery. After losing her job during the pandemic, she decided it was time to start her own business.
"Time for me to enter the world not just as a chef but as a business owner!" she wrote in a Jan. 21 Facebook post about the new business. "I'm super excited to announce that I've decided to fulfill my dream of having my own business. Meet Doh! Girl, bringing handcrafted bagels and donuts to the central Massachusetts area and beyond!"

For now, Clark is working out of the Worcester Regional Food Hub, a local nonprofit that offers kitchen space and other amenities to local restaurant startups.
Clark is preparing for her second popup for Valentine's Day weekend. She's offering chocolate bagels paired with homemade chocolate hummus, cream cheese and cookie crumbs.
