My name is Trevor Dutton and I produce music under the name Studio Wormbone (Feel free to search those key words on Google, Soundcloud, Youtube, or Facebook for more info). I've done live sound reinforcement and staging/lighting, sound design, performance, and songwriting/production. These days I'm most happy writing/recording/producing in my professionally equipped home studio. As a music lover I've got broad eclectic taste - I'm as likely to recreationally listen to jazz or metal. The style I'm personally drawn to creating leans toward independent electro pop/synth rock. However I've worked in many genres and have come to the conclusion that a well written song is a well written song regardless of category. I own an efficient collection of high end hardware/software gear and instruments (see list at bottom) and have invested the time necessary to become intimately familiar with all of it. I've personally conducted numerous testing shootouts to find the proper equipment to suit my workflow. For two years I developed digitally downloadable sound packs/sample libraries and as a result have a personal archive of tens of thousands of painstakingly catalogued custom created samples. My ear for pitch is accurate and my knowledge of the frequency spectrum is thorough. I've got a healthy understanding of music theory and am fluent with it's terminologies. I play and/or program most instruments used in modern pop and have done enough singing to have a deep appreciation for the complexity of the human voice and it's subtleties. Last but not least I've been a synth aficionado for 20 years and can get lost for days tweaking my modular setup. *sheepish grin* When working with other people my most valuable tool is an open mind. We're all trying to create music for personal expression, communication, connection, fun... and simultaneously a bit of fame and fortune. My ambition with clients is to find the right balance for YOU of all of those factors. My role is to translate your ideas into the physical world using my specialized skill set.
