JOB TITLE: Plater
JOB DESCRIPTION: Following instruction on a work ticket, plater will place parts on racks through a series of dip tanks. Each tank will be documented for time and temperature. The plater must be able to manage time to keep parts in constant rotation into tanks. May deal with electricity, strong acids and/or bases, and various other chemicals. Personal Protective Equipment will be provide and it must be worn. Works with Quality Manager and Production Manager to get the best product possible in the quickest time possible, and performs racker task when required. All other tasks as needed or prescribed by general manager.
REQUIRED SKILL LEVEL: Must be able to read and write English. Must be able to safely navigate steps, ramps, and grating while carrying racks up to 45 pounds. Must be able to lift, push, and pull 45 pounds. Must be able to follow instructions both verbally and non-verbally. High school education, GED, or equivalent experience. Must be a US Citizen.
TRAINING THAT WILL BE COMPLETED: Knowing the applicable parts of Quality Management System and be familiar with applicable jobs and processes taken on at SPI. General Safety, Hexavalent Chromium Training and Hazardous Waste training. Must have general knowledge of what lock out tag out procedures.
