JLV Construction Bilingual Superintendent Assistant You will be the direct support and field personnel for our Field Supervisor. Daily tasks include but are not limited to managing the on-site operations of projects, directing field personnel and material sourcing. Under the direction of the Superintendent you will direct our teams to ensure jobs are finished on time and within budget. You will also demonstrate leadership skills and will maintain a safe work environment. This is also a role where you will will interact with trades and clients alike. We are seeking an applicant who is bilingual in English and Spanish to help with field communication. If you're looking to develop your construction skills and grow into a superintendent position, this role would be an ideal fit. If you have 2-3 years of relevant construction experience and are willing to learn the ropes we'd like to hear from you! Responsibilities Include: Customer service and positive attitude is the top priority Highly responsive to emails and phone calls/texts Fully understands all aspects of residential construction Meeting job deadlines Manage subcontractors and in house crews to get work complete Negotiating bids and timelines/schedule Material sourcing Attention to detail Ability to work with a partner or team/crew Driving service vehicles Qualifications: Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a must Valid driver's license with a good record and be able to get to and from the office in New Orleans (driving record pulled) Clean criminal record (back ground check completed) Good understand of construction concepts Computer and smart phone proficiency Positive attitude Desire to help others Outstanding customer service skills The ability to work both independently and within a team The ability to follow detailed instructions and checklists and pay attention to detail Motivation for personal and professional growth
