ON-CALL SNOW SHOVELERS $25/hr. + $5/hr. BONUS Apply online at: This is an On-Call position. Use your own vehicle to complete your Kalispell shoveling route. Routes can take anywhere from 4 to 14-hours, depending on the snow event. Our early-morning start time is 4:00AM but can be later in the case of later morning or daytime snowfall. When it snows, we work. Including weekends and holidays. The term of employment is November 1st through March 31st – our snow removal season. Our shop is in South-Kalispell, near Fun Beverage and Snowline Acres (Christmas Trees). Please take this into consideration when estimating your commute. -------------------------------------------------- Upkeep is a Snow and Ice Management company which specializes in taking care of Homeowners and Businesses in the Flathead Valley. Quality. -------------------------------------------------- Primary Job Duties: • Being available to work on short notice. This is job one. • Watching the weather and performing early-morning snow reports. • Reliably showing up for work despite serious winter conditions. • Training on our snow removal equipment, software systems, processes, and policies. • Driving your personal vehicle in very snowy and icy conditions without issues. • Hauling snow removal equipment. Safely loading and securing cargo. • Operating walk-behind snow blowers, shovels, and applying deicer as needed. • Following written directions and illustrations of how to clear snow from each site. • Accurately tracking your time, and logging notes at each job. • Honestly documenting and reporting any damage or incidents. • Being a team player, helping the company win. • Providing courteous and professional Customer Service. -------------------------------------------------- Secondary Job Duties: • Washing, greasing, and maintaining equipment as needed. • Keeping the shop tidy. • Running errands, picking up parts, etc. • General labor, helping wherever needed. -------------------------------------------------- Job Requirements: • Must have a valid driver license, and good driving record. • Perfect attendance. Early-morning start time for an overnight snow is 4:00AM. We wake up and do snow checks and report in at 2:00AM. • Reliable vehicle which you’ll use to complete your Kalispell shoveling route. (All-season or mud-terrain tires are okay on a 4x4 or AWD – although not great on ice. Actual snow tires required for FWD or RWD vehicles.) • Proof of Insurance for the vehicle you’ll be using to complete your route. • Must be skilled at winter driving. • Must have an iPhone or Android phone with adequate data plan to use our apps. • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. • Ability to lift 50lb bag of salt up onto a chest-height shelf. • Ability to lift 90lb snow blower up onto a pickup truck tailgate. • Must have appropriate winter workwear. • Ability to work up to 14-hour days if needed. • Ability to work many long days in a row if needed. • Must have a positive, “will do” attitude. • Must be trustworthy, respectful, and hard-working. • Must take pride in your workmanship, striving for excellence. -------------------------------------------------- Compensation: • $25 per hour base pay, plus overtime above 40hrs. per week. • $5 per-hour-worked BONUS paid at the end of the season! After our snow season we will add up all the hours you worked for us that season and pay you a $5 BONUS for each one of those hours. This is an incentive to remain committed to us and stick it out for the whole season.
