HUDSON, FL — The National Community Development Association (NCDA) is recognizing Pasco County Community Development as a winner of the 2021 Audrey Nelson Community Development Achievement Award for their collaboration on The Vincent House Project. This innovative facility in Hudson is building a path for people suffering severe mental illness to become productive members of the community. "This project is another great achievement for the Pasco Community Development Team," said Assistant County Administer for Public Services Cathy Pearson. "Their dedication continues to make a big difference in our citizens' lives." The Vincent House offers: 10,000 square feet; energy efficient facility Rehabilitation program based on Clubhouse International model First in Florida Kitchen, Business Center and Bank Training activities This project was made possible with Community Development Block Grant funding allocated by the Pasco Board of County Commissioners, along with 10 acres of donated land, state funding and private donors, including Withlacoochee River Electric Cooperative. The National Community Development Association (NCDA) is a non-partisan, national non-profit membership-based organization that represents local government departments across the country that administer federally supported community and economic development and affordable housing programs.
